Children’s Ministry

At Redeemer, we believe that church should be a safe and joyful place for children—empowering families to explore God’s Word, learn about Jesus, and talk about their faith journeys together. Through our Children’s Ministry, we share the beautiful message of God’s love and care for His children in a friendly, age-appropriate environment where kids can flourish.

We know that spiritual growth continues beyond Sunday services. To support this, we provide resources to encourage and empower parents in their role of sharing the incredible story of God’s love with their families.

Redeemer Littles

During all three Sunday services, our nursery is available for children ages 6 months to 3 years.

Redeemer Kids

During our 9:30 AM service, children from PreK-4 to 3rd grade are invited to participate in Redeemer Kids, where they can deepen their relationship with Jesus through age-appropriate stories, games, and crafts alongside their peers.

Redeemer Quest

In Redeemer Quest, 4th-5th graders participate in activities and games that help them build lasting friendships as they learn more about Jesus.

Frequently Asked Questions

I'm a first time visitor. What should I expect?

We’re happy to welcome you to worship at Redeemer! If you’d like your child(ren) to participate in Redeemer Littles, Redeemer Kids, or Redeemer Quest, you will need to create a stick-on name tag for your child through our check-in system. This tag will include your child’s name and your contact information, should we need to contact you during the service.

During the programming, you can expect your child to hear a lesson that includes Bible verses, Bible stories, songs, and various activities. We follow the Simply Loved curriculum for Redeemer Kids. After the service ends, your child will only be released to you when you come to pick them up.

All of our Children’s Ministry volunteers undergo a background check and complete a required MinistrySafe training, along with ongoing quarterly development. We want our volunteers to be well-equipped not only to teach but also to care for your children with the highest level of integrity and attentiveness.

To maintain a safe environment, we follow strict classroom guidelines, requiring a two-adult minimum per room. Our leaders routinely check classrooms to ensure everything is running smoothly, and parents are always welcome to check on their children in a way that doesn’t disrupt the flow of the class.

In addition, photos and/or videos of children by volunteers is prohibited.

Children are grouped by grade for age-appropriate activities. Each grade group has its own classroom during Redeemer Kids.

We’re happy to answer any additional questions you might have! Please contact our Director of Children’s Ministry Amanda Iwabuchi if you have any additional questions we have not covered.

Volunteer with Redeemer Kids

Are you interested in becoming a kids' ministry volunteer? Help is needed for both “up front” and “behind-the-scenes” work. It doesn’t take superpowers to make a difference in kids' lives.
